Volunteering opportunities
VT Seva (Volunteering Together for Service) is a volunteer driven global registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization since 2008. It's sister organization ‘Vikasa Tarangini ’(VT) was established in India in 1992 has been providing various opportunities for more than 75,000 active volunteers. The organization is also active in England, Australia and Tanzania.
The Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is a national honor recognizing sustained service. JET is an official certifying organization for this program. Recipients can receive an official lapel pin, personalized certificate of achievement, and a congratulatory letter from the president. JET USA is a certifying organization (CO) for administering PVSA to volunteers. Gold, silver and bronze awards are based on the number of documented volunteer hours served over 12 consecutive months.

As a CO, we will identify eligible recipients, verify their service hours, and distribute the award to outstanding volunteers. We invite you to apply for this award if you meet the eligibility requirements, by contacting secretary@jetusa.org. We encourage all JET USA volunteers to register here and enter Record of Service Key WVM-62518 to have JET USA as your CO.

Additionally, eligible volunteer service hours are not limited to those performed on behalf of JET USA. In fact, service hours can be accumulated through work on a variety of projects throughout the year. The only requirement is that the hours be completed within 12 months and 60% of the volunteer hours are through JET USA. Recipients can qualify for a new award each year. Volunteer hours have to be submitted by the end of the year (Dec 31st). Please get your hours certified by the local JET USA coordinator before submission.
