The gopikas of Vre:palle, their faces radiant as the Moon and their bodies adorned with strange ornaments, gather together and approach the Lord who, after maneuvering the churning of the ocean of milk which is filled with ships, has secured Lakshmi for His wife and thus become Ma:dhava. The Lord has showered benefits even on Brahma and Rudra and thus become their benefactor. Singing Him benediction, the gopikas obtain for the world the rain-giving ‘parai’ and secure for themselves the privilege of eternal service to Him. Sri Bhattana:tha, who always wears a rosary made of lotus- beads, belongs to Srivilliputtor, which is deemed to be the jewel of the world. It is his daughter Goda:devi, who presents the whole process of the soul’s attainment of the Lord in the garland of thirty Pa:surams in Tamil language. Whosoever recites, systematically and regularly, these thirty Pa:surams is sure to obtain the same benefit that the gopikas have received from Krishna and that Goda:devi has received from Sri Rangana:tha by performing the rite. The lotus-eyed Srimanna:ra:yana, the Lord of Lakshmi, radiant with his majestic head and four mighty arms resembling summits of the mountains, will graciously bestow on those who merely recite these Pa:surams systematically and regularly, exhilarating bliss at all times and in all places, now and forever.
